Hazel teaches a monthly workshop with a different theme as the focus of the day in venues which offer a peaceful and surrounded by green space to enhance the days escape. Venue directions are lower on this page.
A workshop is a great way to deepen your enjoyment of yoga. The day offers the time to experiment and hone techniques that a weekly class just does not allow for. Many students describe the workshops as a rare treat, giving themselves some 'me - time'. The groups are small and held in quiet locations with green space around. Directions and what to bring are given further down page.
Today will be a calm day filled with flowing sequences in the warm room surrounded by candles and aromatherapy. strong and softer tempo of asanas throughout, the afternoon relaxation incorporating visualisation focusing on balancing the chakras with colour. The day is held in the very special Holycombe House in the Cotswolds with underfloor heating and views out to the pond and garden. To actively expand the front body counterbalances the hunched posture we so often adopt in our working time at desk, computer &/or driving. The heart is at the center of our energetic system, focus on Anahata develops our feelings of empathy and compassion. A days’ heart yoga allows us to reconnect with ourselves, giving our heart, body and mind a chance to relax and renew. The Mortimer Hall is the village hall in Old Marston, adjoined to the library with parking down the side or on road.
Breath is key to finding your balance whether holding a difficult one legged pose or finding ease and comfort in standing. We will take time to undo poses, finding the foundation and alignment, discovering the balance. Venue is the lovely Old School Hall in Cumnor village. Set in the middle of village, the hall is joined to the Post Office with the entrance and parking behind, shared with the Church. Today we bring our own lunch to share so £35. 10am to 3.30pm.
is the perfect Spring/Summer location for workshops focusing on the deeper aspects of yoga with the Chakras, pranayama or breathwork and meditative themes. These workshops, 10am to 3.30pm are scheduled:
Begin to discover the unseen energetic system, bringing together our physical and ethereal selves. We explore the energy centres or chakras taking our focus in each pose to approach our yoga in a different way.Lunch from the Deli included at £45.
