With morning retreats we can enjoy our yoga and holistic day together. Why not treat yourself to a morning to really re-balance, let go of the daily hubbub and find that calm within yourself? Varying themes for morning or full day. Some include a delicious lunch and all include refreshments.
Give yourself a day so time to experiment and hone techniques that a weekly class just does not allow for. Many students describe the workshops as a rare treat, giving themselves some ‘me – time’. The groups are small and held in quiet locations with green space around.
Hot drinks and juice are included and a cake to close our day with a cuppa and feedback. They are held in my regular halls both Cumnor Old School and The Old Headington Village Hall.

Let’s celebrate National Menopause Day with Friday of yoga and sound
Yoga and Relaxation on a Friday evening. Nurture yourself with an evening of yoga and a full relaxation in sound. So exciting Katie Chester is joining me to create a wonderful sound bath. Let yourself relax as Katie wraps you in a sound journey with her crystal singing bowls and percussion instruments allowing you to fully release. A calm and cosy hall filled with aromatherapy and candles.
The evening completes with a nourishing soup while we can share our experience of the evening and enjoy time with like minded women.

Autumn Yoga Retreat to balance and reconnect with our body, breath and mind
The luxury of a full day! Enjoy yoga with Hazel and fully relax with the immersion of sound with Katie's crystal singing bowl relaxation. The warm hall and candles with aromatherapy help create the calm and comfort as we move into the Autumn. We let go of what we no need like the trees release their leaves.
A delicious vegetarian lunch is followed with creating your own aromatherapy with Katie. Choose the perfect blend while you learn about the benefits of the organic essential oils. Your fine tuned aromatherapy blend will support you as the day closes with pranayama and meditation session with Hazel.
We will work with yoga and some of Tibetan healing sequences to help balance and explore the energies. Awareness of our chakra, the energies centres. Wear colourful clothes to resonate with the rainbow of chakras. We will sit with our breath and allow a longer meditation with simple chants. Do bring blankets to be snug in relaxation and I will bring extra mats, blocks, bolsters and cushions to relax and to sit comfortably.

Morning Yoga Retreat ~ Candlelit celebration
Today will be a calm morning filled with flowing sequences in the warm room surrounded by candles and aromatherapy. strong and softer tempo of asanas throughout, the afternoon relaxation incorporating visualisation focusing on balancing the chakras with colour. Longer practise of pranayama and meditation. 10am–2pm day will include:
- Variety of asana (postures) and moving sequences
- Develop awareness of asana structure to align and strengthen
- Use breath and pranayama techniques to calm and empower
Guided relaxation and introduction to meditation
10am to 1pm Yoga with relaxation, breath work and meditation
1pm to 2pm Delicious multi dishes, vegetarian lunch by Sharon
2pm to 3.45pm Gentle moving yoga and meditation
Homemade cake, teas, and feedback to close 4pm.

What would you like to be included? Themes or particular pose to work towards, favourite relaxation or breath work. Send your ideas and the session is planned around your choices!.
The themes and styles of day grow and respond to your feedback and suggestions. Each session has a key theme which we can delve into with the longer time to enjoy going deeper with our asana and body work while fully in sync with our breath, emotions and energies with mindful movement, breath and meditation.
Have your yoga kit and bring extras to be comfortable and warm to lie in savasana with blanket, cushions and blocks/ bolster to sit in meditation
How wonderful to be back in person for our longer retreat sessions of yoga. For now just morning sessions but hope to offer full days next year. Retreats are held in my regular halls in Oxford and outside in Cumnor village. Be assured we still have awareness off taking although no longer have Covid Protocols do wear a mask if you would like to until class begins and if moving. I recommend we bring our own water bottles and cups and a hand antiviral gel to keep each other safe.

The Old Headington Village Hall (was Parish hall)
Tucked away on Dunstan Road, Headington, OX3 9BY, just across the road from Ruskin College. Advantageously the garden here is great for al fresco yoga allowing for our summers though. There is parking and additional 2 hour parking further up on St Andrews Road (Changes from Dunstan to St Andrews where links to Osler Road as T’ junction).
Plenty of space in car park and bike racks, local buses City8, 280 and Brookes1 to Headington shops; and bus10 to JR hospital with longer walk across site.
Cumnor Old School Hall
Seems so far away yet just outside the ring-road. Our regular home for yoga and workshops. The Old School Hall, is at High Street, Cumnor village, OX2 9PE. Just up the hill from Botley on the west of Oxford or come in to this delightful village from A420. The stone hall is in the centre of the village on the high street, part of the same building it is at the back of the post-office/general shop with ample car-park shared with the church. Entrance is at the back from the car-park, come in and straight ahead to the double doors.

Meditation and Yoga Workshop
Always the regular Yoga Workshops all include some meditation but there is an opportunity for a morning workshop just focused on meditation. This introduction will offer gentle movement to warm up and exercises to enhance different postures for meditation. Breath is the basis for meditation & we will look at different themes to develop your meditation upon: concentration, working with chakras, mantras and/or simply silence.
